Q. What are your hours of operation?


We are a three-shift production plant. Our office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. EST, Monday thru Friday.

Q. Can you maintain my mailing list?


Yes! We offer fulfillment services including list amendment, merge-purge and replication.

Q. What type paper stock does Vanguard use?


Vanguard prints on coated and uncoated sheets, from 28# text to 12pt. cover. We do not run newsprint. We also offer warehousing of customer-furnished paper upon request. Let us help find the perfect sheet for your project.

Q. Will I save money on postage by mailing from Vanguard Printing?


By running an analysis on your previous mailing list, we can furnish you with a detailed postage estimate. Savings are common due to our central location.

Q. What types of proofing does Vanguard provide?


Several proofing options are available. “Hard” proofs such as dylux or contract-quality color proofs require shipping time, while “soft” proofs or "StreamProofs" are available for review on-line.

Q: I may need assistance with file preparation. Who would advise me?


Your Account Executive could put you in direct contact with a VANGUARD Prepress technical assistant. From basic to advanced questions, we have staff members available to help you with a wide array of training issues.

Q: Do you have an FTP site for downloading electronic data?


Yes, our site is available for furnishing files and for viewing proofs. Customers can access the secured site via an assigned password.

Q: What types of electronic files are accepted?


Native files, PDF, and PDFX-1a files are most common. We support most types of file preparation software.

Q: How is communication handled between customers and production?


Each customer is assigned an experienced Account Executive. As the primary contact, your AE supervises your project from start to finish and is available to you via phone, e-mail and fax.
In addition, a support team of production supervisors monitors quality on the production line.

Q: What is your production turn time?


Our goal is to meet the customer’s scheduling needs. We produce work that produces from 24 hours to 8 days. Your requirements are our deadline.

Q: What type of printing does Vanguard Printing produce?

Vanguard’s specialty is catalog, journal, commercial, financial, and magazine printing, especially runs of 10,000 to 250,000 copies. Standard size, tabloids and digest size books are well suited to our equipment. We also take on the challenging sizes and versioning requirements. Producing project on both heatset web presses and sheetfed offset presses.
